Welcome to the new year, the new decade and The Muffinerys' very first blog.
It's always nice to know what's going on in the background and what makes a business what it is, so this year I'll be doing just that. I'll be inviting you behind the scenes to take a look at the bloopers (we all have them), the successes (here's to many more of those) and the day to day goings on of my little savoury muffin business.
Ok, so to kick off with, some of you may have seen a new vegan muffin make it's entrance yesterday on the Facebook page. The beetroot, sweetcorn and spinach muffin will be replacing parsnip and blue cheese. There will also be another new vegan muffin replacing the Fennel, sundried tomato and spinach muffin but I'm not entirely sure what it will be yet. Maybe something along the lines of Avocado, sundried tomato and orange pepper? How does that sound? Feel free to add your ideas below. Interaction will make this blog thingy much more fun. You may get fed up of my ramblings otherwise ...
On the veggie side, the Stilton and Cranberry muffin will soon become the Broccoli and Stilton muffin. How does that sound? Sometimes just sticking with the traditional works just as well don't you think?
At this stage I think it would be a great idea to find out what you would like to see on the website. Since it started back at the end of November there have been several changes including getting rid of a few pages, adding background graphics, changing fonts so they're easier to read etc. I love web design, it sort of goes with my love of art. Some of you will be aware of my other business Serdinya Creative Art which sort of went on extended leave when The Muffinery made it's entrance, although thankfully there's still been a few sales through the Etsy shop to keep the bank manager .... and me in mince pies.
Ok, I'm going to keep this one quite short as the first of this years orders need be in the post tomorrow so shopping and baking calls. Just a few more questions and I'll leave you to get on with your day ....... what would you like to see in the blogs? and how often would you like to see them?
Have a fantastic new year wherever you are and stay safe. If you've been one of the many people working for our emergency services over the festive period, a massive thank you goes out to you all. You keep us all safe and intact and I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying you are saints.
Now it's your turn. I really would love to know what you think so far. Those of you who have tried the muffins, please share your experience. Those who have new ideas for the business, those who think they know of a cafe, shop etc where the muffins might sell?
Anyone who owns a cafe, shop etc who would be interested in selling all or any combination, please get in touch at email@example.com
Finally, for those who have been looking for something to spend that Christmas cash on, why not treat yourself to some tasty, healthy and nutritious veggie or vegan savoury muffins ;-)
Well that's it for now. See you next time.
